I love it when a plan comes together.
My new song The Troll is out, and judging by my handy stats page most of you read the story of the song last week. Thank you.
Here’s the official music video. Shot this on a 100 degree day in Joshua Tree with my good friend Ryan Hunter, Baron of the Desert. Please enjoy, give it a thumbs up, and leave a comment. Those really help!
The song is up on Apple Music and Spotify - and for the mp3 crowd you can snag your file on bandcamp here.
My most heartfelt thanks to my riding partner on this one, Scott Hirsch. He recorded it, mixed it, and laid down some sweet fuzz. Syd Sidney played the drums, Daniel Wright was on bass, Ethan Glazer on keys, and Jesse Siebenberg laid down that sweet Weissenborn acoustic slide part. The whole Ojai Echo Magic crew pushed in their chips for this one. More to come.
About that plan…
I ALSO thought it would be cool to release one of my dad’s songs on the same day. I’ll expand on the forever project I’ve done with him in the next letter since there’s so much going on already. The short: he never released any solo recordings and I have the power to change that, so I am.
Like The Troll, Sasha is on Apple Music and Spotify and you can download an mp3 on bandcamp here.
You will likely have to weed through the more popular Jazz Bob James to find him out there, but so it goes when you share an artist name. I would know, there’s another Brendan James out there, and he’s even kinda jazzy too. Weird stuff.
Short one for now. I hope you’ll listen, comment, and share, particularly on The Troll! (Dad doesn’t care much for numbers, he’s dead) I’ve worked way too hard on all of this for too long to not ask of you these small favors. I know there’s a lot going on, but let’s be honest, when the hell will that not be true from here on out? Shit’s crazy!!
Thanks with all my heart for opening these emails. That really truly means the world to me.
Love, B
Double release day is 🔥 had no idea they were both coming hoe-lee. Nice one.
Love the video and the sound
